Please note that we do budget our charities and events throughout the year and require as much notice as possible.  (3-4 months is ideal)

In May 2008, a group of families were preparing to go overseas to adopt children in an orphanage in Ethiopia. One family in particular was on their way to adopt a little boy. Before their trip, they came to Shooligans (a bo bébé company) to buy some summer sandals for their soon-to-be, new son. The story evolved when bo bébé's owner, Leah heard about the trip and stepped in. She then offered to send enough shoes for ALL the kids being adopted!

4 large suitcases were packed with various sizes of brand new shoes and off they went!  Happily, the shoes easily cleared customs in Ethiopia, with the traveling families; making it right to the orphanage they were working with.  Amazingly, not only did the families have enough shoes for this orphanage;  but apparently another 3 orphanages were able to benefit from the huge pile of shoes as well!

Now how GREAT does THAT feel!
