In May 2008, a group of families were preparing to go overseas to adopt children in an orphanage in Ethiopia. One family in particular was on their way to adopt a little boy. Before their trip, they came to Shooligans (a bo bébé company) to buy some summer sandals for their new son. The story evolved when bo bébé's owner heard about the trip and stepped in. 
Leah Chevallier asked if she could put together some donations for the other kids in the orphanage and then offered to send enough shoes for ALL the kids being adopted! 
So 4 huge suitcases were packed with brand, new shoes and some pretty high hopes! 
 Thankfully, the shoes cleared customs easily with the traveling families and made it right to the orphanage! Not only did we shoe all those kids but apparently another several other orphanages were able to shoe all their children as well!
